Today begins with a scenic trip through the Dutch countryside, so that you can enjoy picturesque views of clogs, cheese and windmills, something that the Netherlands is traditionally famous for! Now it is time for the very popular model town, Zaanse Schans!*
We will then, head back to Amsterdam, a transition from a peaceful countryside to a cosmopolitan city! We will head for the diamond factory, where you will see the matchless diamond cutting techniques that have been practised here since the 16th century.
Next you can opt for an hour long canal cruise which is a great way to see the best venues of the city. We then walk towards the Dam Square, to the Royal Palace where the Queen’s birthday celebrations take place. Then the night is yours! You can choose to explore the scintillating night life of the city or check in to the hotel after a sumptuous dinner.
*From mid-March to mid-May the tour visits Keukenhof Garden, a 32 hectare seasonal exhibition of beautifully coloured and scented displays of spring flowers - most notably millions of tulips. This replaces the visit to Zaanse Schans. For more information see www. keukenhof.com.
