Itinerary

We will board a luxury coach in Paris. We will enjoy a scenic journey as we head to Switzerland. We will pass by Basel, which is located at the juncture of the Swiss, French and German border before arriving at the picturesque lakeside city of Lucerne. Located at the base of the snow-capped Swiss Alps, Lucerne is a home to renowned landmarks, including the Chapel Bridge and the Water Tower. We will also get to see some wonderfully preserved Baroque and Gothic architecture after which you can do some exploring on your own on foot and do some local shopping.

Hotel: 3* in or outside Lucerne

Departing from Lucerne we will head towards northern Italy, where our first stop will be the fashion capital of the world, Milan. We will visit all the iconic sights, including the vast Gothic Cathedral (Duomo) and La Scala Opera House. We will have a chance to explore our planet’s oldest shopping mall, the 19th-century Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, where will do some shopping and have a sumptuous lunch!

Driving towards Verona, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is now time to see Italy’s finest architecture. Take the walking tour through the streets lined with red-roofed buildings, and walk past the ancient Roman arena, which hosts outdoor opera performances and music concerts.

Take the opportunity to visit the residence of Romeo and Juliet. Locate Juliet’s balcony by following the trail of unanswered love letters posted on the pathway walls. This is the place we can take pictures of a lifetime against an incredible backdrop! We then head towards Venice.

Hotel: 3* outside Venice Island

Meeting Point

With the first light of the morning, our Venice guided tour begins! We will start with a waterbus ride to San Marco Island. This Island provides us with a real taste of the city’s distinctive charm as you approach the dreamy spires and distinctive waterside buildings. Here we will explore Venice’s best-known locations, like the Basilica di San Marco, a stunning piece of Byzantine architecture. We will also see the legendary Bridge of Sighs, which is a famous backdrop of many printed pictures. The bridge connects the old prison to the interrogation rooms in the Doge’s Palace. After that, it is time to collect some souvenirs! Venetian craftwork at close quarters with a demonstration by Murano glassblowers, make excellent souvenirs.

It is now time to ride through the Venice waterways on a gondola! Step aboard, and enjoy scenic views of Venice and learn how this is the major mode of transportation here! After that, we will also have sufficient time to shop around before we drive to Rome in the afternoon

Hotel: 3* in or outside Rome

Meeting Point

Our Roman exploration will start from The Vatican City, the smallest country in the world! We begin with our first Vatican stop at St Peter’s Basilica, home to Pope Francis and one of most significant sites in Christianity. This divinely beautiful Basilica has been standing for almost 1,700 years and features a bewildering collection of paintings, frescoes and designs crafted by some of the most famous artists!

Alternatively we can choose to add an optional Sistine Chapel tour to see Michelangelo’s famous painted ceiling. Next we will see the Trevi Fountain, the extravagant Baroque showpiece where we can throw a coin in the water! It is said this action will ensure that you will return to the city again!

Take a step back in time by visiting Italy’s unparalleled Roman relics. We highly recommend the guided tour of the Coliseum, built in AD 72. Watch history coming to life before our very eyes, when you witness the gladiator combat inside the mighty Amphitheatre.

Next, we will explore the Arch of Constantine, which dates back to the fourth century AD, after which we will have time to explore the city on foot and munch on some local delights like “gelato”, Italian ice cream! Yum! We then depart for Florence.

Hotel: 3* in or outside Florence

Florence is the source of the Italian Renaissance and home to some fabulous architectural Marvels. Start your day with a scenic overview of the city from Piazzale Michelangelo, which boasts glorious vistas over the red roofs, the Arno River and the ancient city walls out towards the surrounding countryside.

Next, we will see a demonstration of the traditional craft of leather making at close quarters in a local workshop, where we can also shop for some of the uniquely manufactured leather item. Here onwards enjoy our guided walking tour around Florence’s important landmarks like the Ponte Vecchio over the Arno, the Piazza del Duomo and the Campanile Tower. We will also pass by the Uffizi Gallery, which features notable art collections.

Next we will have some free time to explore and shop to your heart’s content before we head to our next destination, Pisa. Charge your cameras to take the most stunning pictures of a lifetime at the background of the iconic Leaning Tower, the famous bell tower in the ‘Square of Miracles’!
