Today is the day we explore Hungary. Its capital, Budapest, also known as the Pearl of the Danube, is top on our exploration list. Opting for a cruise on the river is highly recommended to see the best venues of the city. Next, you will have a relaxing lunch at Buda Palace, after which you will see exhibitions in the Budapest History Museum and Hungarian National Gallery.

Now it is time for the cultural and historic tour in which you will get to see both sides of the city. On the “Buda” side of the Danube you get to see the towered terrace of Fisherman’s Bastion, the medieval Matthias Church and a walk up to the summit of Gellért Hill for exceptional views. In “Pest”, you will see the Heroes’ Square and Hungary's dramatic riverside Parliament Building. You have the evening to yourself so that you can savour some traditional dishes of this region like goose liver, goulash, duck leg and local wine. Top that with some Hungarian folkdance and music! What a night in “Buda” - “Pest”!

We will have an opportunity to board a cable car that will carry us to the peak of the impressive and permanently snow covered Mount Titlis. We will reach the summit in 3 stages. We’ll ascend the last stage by the world’s first revolving gondola, the Titlis Rotair; that offers an outstanding 360 degree view of the valleys, glaciers, lakes and forests below. Get ready with our cameras to click pictures of some of the most panoramic scenery we will ever see as we reach the summit. The sun terrace is also the perfect backdrop to some amazing pictures. We can also explore the 150-metre ice cavern through the core of a glacier. We will also enjoy stunning views of Mt. Titlis as we walk across Europe's highest suspension bridge.

Our next stop, Lucerne is a picturesque city of bridges and towers. Stroll through the delightful streets, and appreciate the famous Lion Monument, described as “the most mournful and moving piece of stone in the world” by Mark Twain. Don’t forget to pick up the “Cuckoo clocks” that are made exclusively in Titisee. These make for a perfect souvenir! Then we will head back to Frankfurt, where the Blue line Tour ends.
